Pokémon (Roppongi, Tokyo) held a Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Naha Airport on the night of December 3, and the tree will be on display until December 25.
The tree, which is about 6 meters high, was set up in the Fukugi Hall on the third floor of the terminal.
The tree was decorated in the motif of Pocket Monsters (Pokemon), and Pikachu and his friends wearing Kariyushi wear appeared at the lighting ceremony.
In June this year, Pokémon and Skymark Airlines (SKY/BC) launched the Pikachu Jet BC (Boeing 737-800, registered in Japan), a specially painted aircraft featuring the popular Pokémon character Pikachu.
Pikachu Jet BC (Boeing 737-800, registration number JA73AB) was launched in June this year.
The aircraft is mainly used on Okinawa routes to Naha and Shimoji Island, and will be in service for about five years. The tree was also installed as part of the project.
