The world’s favourite orange BIC biros is to be discontinued worldwide.

“BIC Japan”, the Japanese subsidiary of Société BIC, a major French writing instrument manufacturer, announced on April 19 that it will discontinue the Orange Easy Glide (Orange EG) biros worldwide.

When fans learned of the discontinuation, they posted their thoughts on social media one after another, saying things like, “It’s too sad,” “I loved it so much,” “Thank you for everything,” and “I loved how stylish it was.

Six products have been discontinued worldwide.

　The six products to be discontinued are black, red and blue, each with a thickness of 1.0mm and 0.7mm.

The products will be discontinued as soon as stocks last worldwide.

　The reason for the discontinuation is that the head office in France wants to streamline the product range, and is planning to strengthen the sales of the parent model, Bic Cristal.
