About two months after the shooting of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe by Tetsuya Yamagami, a film is reportedly being produced at an astonishing pace to coincide with the national funeral scheduled for September 27. A film writer tells us.

The film depicts the life of the suspect Yamagami. It follows the life of the suspect from his upbringing to the shooting, and they are planning to release it on September 27, when the state funeral is scheduled to be held. The director is Masao Adachi.

The director of the film is Masao Adachi, a “radical” who was internationally wanted in 1974 for joining the Japanese Red Army led by Fusako Shigenobu, and has previously directed the documentary “Red Army: PFLP World War Manifesto” (1971).

Mr. Adachi, himself an internationally wanted “terrorist,” will not condemn Yamagami, but rather, will thoroughly engage with his life and his arguments. He seems to be enthusiastic, saying, ‘I don’t want to glorify Yamagami; I want my work to be about Yamagami himself.

Yu Hirano, who runs the live music club “Loft,” will serve as executive producer, and the screening will be held at Loft.

The production period was only about two weeks. The name of the “lead actor” who will play the role of the suspect, Yamagami, has not yet been disclosed. Adachi is said to have said, “This is my revenge against the nation.

When the film is completed and released, it is sure to be a hot topic, but it is not yet clear if it will actually be released.
