The film opened in theaters on August 6 and drew 1.57 million viewers and grossed over 2.25 billion yen in two days on August 6 and 7, making it the No. 1 opening weekend film of 2022 in terms of two-day attendance and box office revenue, the No. 1 “ONE PIECE” film start, and the No. 1 opening weekend film of Toei’s history in terms of two-day attendance and box office revenue. It also became the No. 1 film of “ONE PIECE” in terms of attendance and box-office revenue on the opening weekend.
And it is the highest-grossing “ONE PIECE” movie ever, surpassing the 6.87 billion yen box office of “ONE PIECE FILM Z” released in 2012.
In addition, the theme song “Shinjidai” & all 7 songs in the movie finally dominated No. 1 to No. 7 in Apple Music‘s top song ranking on August 16.
