He played Daisuke Jigen in “Lupin the Third” for more than 50 years, a role to which he is said to have been particularly attached, but after the first episode of “Lupin the Third: Part VI,” “EPISODE 0 -Jidai-,” which was broadcast from October 2021, he “retired” from the role of Jigen, and Akio Otsuka took his place. The role of Jigen was a good fit for him. I pray for his soul rest in peace.
