Hiroyuki Nishimura, 45, a businessman and founder of “2channel,” appeared live on TBS “Sunday Japon” (Sunday 9:54). He discussed whether or not the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (former Unification Church) should be ordered to disband.
He said, “In the long run, I think we should issue a dissolution order,” but added, “Objectively, the only information we have is what they are really doing to warrant a dissolution order, and that is from the civil trial. First, we should ascertain the actual situation, and then strip them of their corporate status as a religious corporation and eliminate their tax-exempt privileges and so on. I think it would be better to take the steps first,” he commented.
”Even if we take the matter to the court at this stage, the judge may say that there is no objective evidence and that the order is not as strong as the dissolution order,” he added. He added, “It would be better to establish the evidence first”.
