The new “Heritage Season” of Pokémon GO has begun! Information on December’s events also released

On December 1, Niantic and Pokémon released information on December events including the next season “Heritage Season” of the location-based game “Pokémon GO” for Android and iOS. The “Heritage Season” is scheduled to run from December 1, 10:00 a.m. to March 1, 2022, 10:00 a.m.

In “Heritage Season,” Dr. Willow comes to a cave during her research and stumbles upon a large door with a strange unlocking device. Players will work together with Dr. Willow and her team leaders to uncover the mysteries of the historical site. During this period, different bonuses will appear each month, and the monthly “Time Challenge” will offer limited edition dress-up items. The events of the “Heritage Season” will culminate in the “Pokemon GO Tour: Johto Region” scheduled for February 26 and 27, 2022.

　Also in December, “Monozu” will appear in the “Great Discovery. Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem will reappear in Legendary Raid Battles, and Mega Haganal will appear in Mega Raids for the first time in “Pokemon GO”. In addition, the last “Community Day” of the year will be held on December 18 and 19. During the event, more Pokémon from the 2021 Community Day will appear in the wild than usual, and Pokémon from the 2020 Community Day will return from eggs and appear in Raid Battles.

The following events will be released in the near future

Heritage Season: December 1, 10:00 a.m. – March 1, 2022, 10:00 a.m.
We’ll be setting off on a journey into the past for the Pokemon GO Tour: Johto Region.

Urimu’s Okou Day: December 5, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Urimu will be attracted to Okou more than usual. Also, on that day, both Smudge-type and Surface-type Pokémon will be attracted to Okou.

Mysteries of the Tower of Lurathen: December 7 – December 12
An event related to the “Tower of Ryuurasen” in the Ish Region. Details to be announced later.

“Pokemon GO Holiday” Part 1 and Part 2: December 16 – December 31
Costumed Pokémon, more “Smoke-type” Pokémon than usual in the wild, event-only “Field Research,” winter-themed dress-up items, and many other bonuses will be available.
With the arrival of December, a new season, “Heritage Season,” will begin!
