A moving mole? That’s what it is!

moving mole

I used to go fishing a lot.
I used to go fishing at the mouth of the river, on the border between the sea and the river.

The river was full of boulders, so I used to wear long sleeves and long trousers when I went fishing, even in summer.

One day, I noticed a mole on my thigh.
It was about two or three millimetres in size. I didn’t think much of it.

But after a couple of days I noticed that the mole was getting bigger and bigger.
I wondered why the mole was getting bigger.

After about a week, it got bigger and bigger and when it was about 7-8mm, I thought it was strange, but I drank some alcohol and anaesthetised myself and tore the mole off with my hand.

What a surprise, it bled a little, but I was glad it came off clean.

I was worried that the mole might reappear, but I was relieved that it was gone.

I put the mole in the palm of my hand and gazed at it, and to my surprise, a foot appeared on the mole and started to move.

I didn’t know what had happened. The mole was a living thing.

I squeezed the mole with my hand, and blood came out of the mole.

I quickly searched the internet.

The keywords were: mole, move.

I didn’t expect to get a hit, but I found out what the mole was.

It was a tick. They are a kind of tick, but they have harmful properties.

On the news of the 3rd June, I learned that a tick infection had been confirmed in Chiba Prefecture.

This is the first time it has been found in the Kanto region.

It said that the fatality rate was 6-30%.

I tore it off by myself without even going to the hospital, but I heard that it was a dangerous act.

I had to go to a dermatologist to have it removed.
I don’t know if I had antibodies, but nothing has happened to me since.

They say there is no effective vaccine.

Next week I’m going to get a vaccine for covid-19, but I think I’ll be OK because I’ve beaten the ticks, which have a fatality rate of 6-30%.
