Hiroyuki Nishimura, a.k.a. Hiroyuki, the founder of the Internet bulletin board 2channel and a businessman, updated his Twitter account on the evening of March 18. In a poll conducted by the Mainichi Shimbun that day, the approval rating for Kishida’s cabinet dropped 7 points to 29%, falling below 30% for the first time since the inauguration of the administration and reaching the “danger zone”.
“I guess that Mr. Kishida wants the LDP and the Unification Church to collapse together,” he mused. He also tweeted his personal opinion.
According to a Mainichi Shimbun survey, 64% of respondents disapprove of the LDP, up 10 points from the previous survey.
The LDP’s party approval rating also fell 6 points to 23%. In addition, 72% “do not appreciate” the administration’s handling of the issue of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (formerly the Unification Church), and 62% were “opposed” to former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s state funeral on March 27.
Hiroyuki said, “Support for Kishida’s cabinet dropped below 30% in the poll, and 71% (as originally written) are dissatisfied with the Unification Church’s response. It is clear that if the government responds to the Unification Church’s survey as it should, the approval rating will increase,” he advised to overcome the current situation.
