Montpellier, France-based DigixArt has released “Road 96”, a road trip adventure game with auto-generated maps, on Monday 16 August.
The game is available on Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam, GOG.com, Epic Games Store) with Japanese subtitles and interface, and is priced at 2196 yen including tax on Steam and Nintendo eShop.
“Road 96” tells the story of a young girl who travels thousands of miles to the border of Petrea, a fictional dictatorship in turmoil.
The game’s main feature is the automatic generation of maps from thousands of different patterns, and during the course of the game you will meet various characters and encounter various events.
You will be forced to make choices in order to escape from the government and survive.
In addition, the music of the 90’s will accompany you on your journey to defy the dictatorial rule and oppression.
“Road 96” is available now for Nintendo Switch and PC.
